Introduction
The objectives of this workshop are 1) to have a small but excellent and topical international meeting in the field of compartmentalised signal transduction, to get focus on the current and timely topic of dynamics and signalling systems which uses systems biology to integrate numerous data sets and parallel signaling events into an overall integrated network of signals; 2) to contribute to scientific interaction and update of European researchers in this area; 3) to educate Ph.D. students and Post Docs that will have the opportunity to meet internationally well recognised researchers in the area and also to present their own data; 4) to promote and increase networking and concerted action in this research field in Europe and internationally.
